Robert Reich:

After almost a year of Trump’s more violent and extreme second term, the moral challenge he poses to the soul of this nation has become clear: the loss of our core ideals, the deterioration of our founding principles, and the abdication of America’s moral authority in the world.

Starchitect Bjarke Ingels is rehowned for his wild projects. His own vacation house, instead, emulates the home of the Swedish watercolorist Carl Larsson. Only the architect’s clients are expected to live in angular glass and steel contraptions!

Paul Krugman:
Trump gave a speech on the economy last night. It was nasty, brutish but mercifully short. It was, of course, full of lies. Were there any true factual claims? So far I haven’t found any. And it closed out with ugly claims about immigrants.

Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA): “The year before Trump took office, the US averaged +168,000 jobs per month. It added just 119,000 jobs TOTAL in 7 months since Trump’s tariffs began.”

So when the new head of MI6 stands up and calmly tells the world that Britain — and by extension, its allies — are now operating in “a space between peace and war,” you’re supposed to stop scrolling. This is real.

It is critical to understand that the consistent observable trend in Mr. Trump’s behaviour — that in any situation he will always, without fail, say and do, not just the wrong thing, but the worst possible thing.

IDEAL CITIES - NOT! Philadelphia is being inundated by mindless development. Commercial real estate has been in decline for three years. Only the worst projects pencil out. Yimby shows the newest projects every morning. Attached are what it has shown for months. Small and ugly, that's all we have.

The median family income in the U.S. has gone from $10K in 1971 to $106k today, an increase of 10x.

However, the median cost of a house has increased 17x, the median cost of a car 14x, college 16x, and healthcare 42x.

The average person is worse off today than in 1971.

I first heard about this new NSS (National Security Strategy) document on Meidas Touch. This is possibly the most outrageous move yet by the Trump regime. A total realignment of the US away from its democratic allies and to Russia.
