Courts, Sports, and Retorts
There are way too many good minds being wasted on the question whether the Supreme Court thinks a President can self-pardon. There is scant reason to give the President immunity if you think the President can do so. . .

Wow, #lisablatt in #Scotus today was an. . . experience. Good on Gorsuch (wow I'm saying that) for making her apologize and not just for comity's sake, he started rifling through the documents about how her calling her opposition "liars" was unreasonable. Her and Paul Clement be wilding. #AJTvOSSEO

People are forgetting that when #scotus decides it's parents' religious + parental right to opt their kids out of curricula, that it whiplashes back upon them: one can more easily see a parent take offense at the first Commandment (if the Ten are displayed in the classroom) than anything else.

Anybody who mentions JFK right now deserves to be laughed at and ridiculed for following the bright laser Trump is shining on the carpet. Americans are being deported without due process. Save your attention and effort for that. We can't unassassinate JFK.

It's hard not to see firings like this one at the Pentagon as anything other than a return to Woodrow Wilson-type federal segregation. #pentagon

There is the small possibility that immunity was given to Trump by #SCOTUS because they are planning to put the kibosh on self-pardons. At the very least I'm VERY glad the liberals asked the majority about #bribery bc it was probably the reason why Don chose Jan 18 for his #crypto scheme and not 28

The discussion will be about that salute, but should be mentioned: Trump still thinks "asylum" is related to Mexican lunatics and tariffs are paid by foreign countries.

There's kind of a line floating around that "at least Trump doesn't NEED the money from his crypto pump and dump, unlike the rest of these insider traders," but no, that makes his stuff WORSE. Choose one: Either he is greedier or thinks democracy is a vehicle for profit.

My Prediction for TikTok v Garland is 8-1 saying the law targets ByteDance's algo, and even if that algo is speech, ByteDance isn't an American so it doesn't have the same protection as TikTok. SCOTUS could also stall for time but they really were pushing towards this simplification. Neil dissent.

In light of encroaching oligarchy, the only Article that wasn't ratified to be an Amendment was the one about district size. And because of that, we are particularly vulnerable to oligarchy with a capped House: 750k size districts is 15x too big. Repeal the 1929 P.A.A. and restore Democracy. #policy

I cannot believe we've managed to change the definition of masculinity to include recklessness and exclude precision and preparedness.

I want to add that if the Supreme Court hadn't decided to bind electors last year, they could have punted this case pretty easily LOL. #scotus

The fact the Supreme Court decided not to hear Johnson v Prentice, where a prison didn't allow the man to exercise for three years out of his excrement-caked cell and could only BUY cleaning supplies, is a huge failure of Justice. Thank you Ketanji, Sonia, and Elena for writing the dissent from cert

The Thomas the Train Engine children's show on Netflix has a train on the spectrum, I think! Has headphones made of train smoke - really cool.
