I went to Korea for a few days last week and, after having zero luck with the My Nintendo Store lottery for a 多言語対応 Switch 2, I realised mid-trip that I could buy one there tax-free!
After buying a Japanese AC adapter, I didn’t end up saving any money, lol… but at least I can sleep easy now!

I was always baffled by this chain’s name, haha. My best guess was that it was some abstraction of “thanks” or maybe trying to imitate “Toys R Us” lol, but apparently it’s… THIS?!

Feeling very nostalgic for 2017~8. I subscribed to Showtime via VPN and watched each episode of The Return as it came out in the US.
Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku ran several of Lynch’s films for a limited time, and seeing them on the big screen was amazing.
There was even an art exhibition in Shibuya!

I brought the disc back with me last time I was in NZ, but couldn’t play it until I had the Retrotink.
Never played it before (despite owning it for who knows how long…), but wow, what a delightful game!

I got Indiana Jones for Christmas!
I know the disc is a glorified coaster, but collecting Japanese Xbox games amuses me, and I was shocked that Microsoft was even bothering to release any new games here physically. Can’t imagine they’ll be printing many copies, haha.

To my surprise, the Retrotink 4K’s already here! I ordered it on Saturday, it shipped on Tuesday, and it arrived this morning!

Really glad they put out a book, because I went to the exhibition and the document-covered walls were an absolute information overload, not to mention it was super crowded, so none of it was going in my brain😅

Luckily got the one I was after - the US SNES buttons! As a person from PAL land, I was always curious about those purple concave buttons. They’re nice!
