Supposedly the Director of the Illinois State Police reports to Governor @govpritzker.illinois.gov who has been vocal about the need to protect protesters and citizens in general against ICE and BP. If he can't get the state police in line with his wishes, he should stop with the empty rhetoric.

I believe you are correct. Not an expert but the Director is appointed by and reports to the governor.

He should tell the Director of the Illinois State Police to have these guys stand down and fire him if he doesn't. Otherwise @govpritzker.illinois.gov is just a doughier version of Schumer - all talk and no action.
