If the interest rate for a 50 year mortgage was even .5% higher than the 30 year mortgage, the “savings” on the monthly payment go from $234 to $114.

This video is great, but it ignores one crucial detail, which is that banks offer different interest rates based on the term of the loan. Today, the avg interest rate on a 15-yr mortgage is 5.5%, compared to 6.22% for a 30-yr. A hypothetical 50 year mortgage would undoubtably be even higher 🧵

When I say “Ok Boomer,” I do mean it as an insult.
Voter demographic data from the last three elections. In all three elections, there is a sharp divide between voters under 50 voting predominantly left-wing, and voters aged 50 and older voting predominantly right wing.

The plan isn’t being “roasted” because progressives don’t like “taking men seriously.”

It’s being mocked because giving the same people who ALREADY gave you bad advice ANOTHER $20 million dollars for a study so they can give you NEW bad advice is comically stupid.
