Answer: A, 5.7-6.0%. A hemoglobin A1c measurement of 6.4% is not awful, but it is an indicator of prediabetes. 6.5% or above is an indication of diabetes or lack of glycemic control in a known diabetic. >7% is not good. Two decades ago, 7% was considered normal.
