Cringe if you must, I've seen what makes you people squee.

Bigots and trolls need not interact. Go play some fun video games instead.
Just watched the first episode of Pluribus and oh my god, what an incredible start to a show. If it can stay even half that good then it will be a masterpiece.

Apple are the new kings of modern sci-fi, if not prestige TV as a whole. Foundation, Severance, Silo and now Pluribus.

Just finished watching 28 years later and I simply do not understand people that didn't like it. Bloody great movie!

I've seen a lot of criticism of the ending and I think a huge amount of it was just Americans not knowing who Jimmy Saville was.

A few months into my graduate games job hunt and...there's just nothing.

I've seen fewer than a dozen actual graduate roles and the same again for junior roles that suspiciously require years of experience, many requiring a full lifecycle on a published game.

Demoralising, to say the least.

"Stop worrying about the return on investment of the single largest investment gold rush in history" is certainly a take.
This is hilarious. These people have never run a real business. It is 100% a scam operated by skiled, dedicated grifters.

World of Warcraft is such a staggering game.

At the end of a month of playing MoP classic - albeit about half spent levelling yet another alt to 85 - I'm still blown away by the breadth and volume of quality content available.

Why did I have to choose Name of the Wind and ASOIAF as my favourite fantasy series. Why did I choose to spend a decade waiting for these sequels. Why must I wait for the California hippies.

MoP classic is extremely fun and just as rewarding as the first go around all those years ago. The biggest difference for me is that I no longer suck and can competently play other classes than paladin!

Ed Zitron explaining in detail how the AI bubble will collapse and take a significant chunk of the US stock market with it:

This is a very long read and a very, very good one. I encourage any creator, developer or executive considering adopting AI to read it!

I've played Elden Ring more than a dozen times through by now including just over a month ago but watching my wife curb stomp Malenia seriously makes me want to replay it already. It's the kind of masterpiece that will be discussed for decades.

Returned to wow after being away since Shadowlands phase 1. Used to love running old raids for mounts.

Today alone, I got Invincible (!!!), Flametalon of Alysrazor and Skadi's proto drake?! Did they up the drop rates or did I just get some legendary luck?

After Doom: The Dark Ages left such a bitter taste in my mouth, I've gone back and played Doom (2016) and I've just started Doom: Eternal once more.

The difference in quality in these games is staggering.

Doom: The Dark Ages is not just a worse game, it is a regression in every way.

Watching Firefly for the first time after years of being told how good it is.

Just finished "Out of Gas", which I now think is one of the best episodes of television I've ever seen. What an absolute triumph.

Try this experiment:

Next time you're scrolling, pay attention.
- What makes you stop?
- What grabs your eye or ear?
- What do you scroll right past?
- Is it sound? A bold visual? A strong caption? An emotional moment?

Write it down. Seriously. (3/9)

I got my marks for Uni back and am proud to say I got a first. I worked really hard for three years and I'm so glad I did.

Now I've just got to put together my portfolio to go after the tiny amount of junior dev / game graduate positions in the UK...and the Netherlands, maybe?

Having completed Doom: The Dark Ages I am confident in stating it is a mediocre waste of potential and the worst in the trilogy by a wide margin. Very disappointing.

What unique and fun new elements the game had were utterly overshadowed by the generic, soulless bulk of it.

I'm not far into Doom: The Dark Ages but at this early stage I have to say that this game does not have the sauce.

Hopefully it picks up but as of mission 2 I'm just not getting it. It feels so much more like a generic FPS shooter than 2016 or Eternal ever did.

Where are the glory kills?!

Andor/TLOU (2) has been a peak prestige nerd TV moment.

Last night I watched Labyrinth for the first time and boy howdy what a strange, silly and enjoyable movie.

I've finally played the outer wilds (almost got to the ending!) and I can see why people rave about it so much. What a gem.

I wonder what happened to Dan Bull? He hasn't uploaded in five months and I can't see anything on any socials explaining his absence. I hope he's alright.

Made a breakthrough in my VR project today after weeks of grinding out the issue and it's such a small part solved but I'm still really proud of it.

When this is over though I'm never touching VR and especially Meta ever again!

Avowed is very nice but there are certain things that make we want to shake the UI team about.

Why can't I set markers in the map?

Why can't I filter map keys?

Why don't overlay, some prompts and waypoints have solid outlines?

Why can't I remap my controller?
