Instead of an AI race between countries, it’d be cool if we could do the space race again. But we said “Terrible stolen art is dope. Let’s do more”.

Lately, my nights have fallen into a pattern. Go to bed early. Wake up at midnight. Doom scroll. Get depressed. Think about how awesome my family and friends are. Get happy and proud. Miss my dad. Realize I can’t sleep cuz I’m hungry. Tell myself I’ll fall sleep instead of snacking. Fail at that.

I'm not a person that can relax by doing nothing. I don't like watching tv or playing games for hours. I relax when I have the time and space to do the things that feel productive to me. Even if that means building a table, or smoking a brisket, or making a plan to escape this planet.

My crankiest belief is that we are now being sold on solutions to problems which only exist because we've let others convince us they exist. That is what "innovation" seems to be in 2025.
