We aim to provide anyone with the data they need/want in easy-to-read / understandable formats. Sadly a child has succumbed to the complications that can accompany measles. We feel that in the end we all just want to keep children safe.

I’m going to hold your hands when I say this: CULTURE EATS POLICY FOR LUNCH. This is especially true for public health. We can have the most robust health policy in the world fall flat if there is no buy-in or enforcement. Reading the room… you will see this is true right now. 1/

If you are in public health, now is the time to leverage your skills & organize. If you don’t know what to do, lean on those who have worked in community or local public health dept. It’s time to acknowledge we cannot operate in isolation or reliance on what was. We need to think outside of the box.

Datasets being deleted from fed databases (as we speak) isn’t just a problem for public health pros — it’s a problem for everyone. Many communities — especially rural — rely on federal surveys/data in order to make important decisions.
