Congress should not get paid if there's a shutdown since that's their job. They shouldn't get back pay either.

They should be required to sit in chambers from 8-5 every day until the government is reopened

Why are they cutting taxes if things are in such bad shape financially? Who takes a pay cut to improve their finances?
