Is rhythm part of voice?

I'm reading "Steering the Craft" by Le Guin, and she mentions the importance of rhythm. It got me to thinking: are my problems finding the current WIP's voice partly problems with rhythm?

I'm going to ponder some more, but input welcome!

WIP it good!

Got some serious work done tonight during an awesome writing sesh with one of my favourite writers, @jmwylie.bsky.social

More importantly, got some not-so-serious work done, too. Always fun times with Jodene! And, the more Foxes the merrier. (You know where to find us...)

Are you ever writing and get the sense that something's not quite... right?

I used to ignore those feeling, thinking it must be my inner critic. But no -- there are two voices. One's always wrong. One's almost always right...

The Gillers aren't the same this year, but I still like the way they show the authors in their "natural habitat". I even learned a cool word from Anne Flemming: untrammelled - not deprived of freedom. (It sounds vaguely familiar, but I'm embracing it now...)

Still watching - no spoilers please!

Oh, I love white water writing! (As long as I stay in the boat...) Wrote a note to an old friend, welcomed another friend to BlueSky, and tinkered with a short story, which I'll be sending to reviewers Thursday. Also listened to a bit of "Peel Me a Lotus". Now, a bit of work-work before bed-bed.
