Wonderful to see Chris Newdick honoured in the latest edition of the @nilegalq.bsky.social with contributions from my colleagues John Coggan and Keith Syrett.
Students studying abroad as part of their degree do struggle with obtaining visas often arriving late as a result. If we want to increase student opportunities, this would be a great step forward.

Will Labour finally act?
Prof Jay's frustration is entirely understandable - a report highlighting safeguarding returns still awaits action from October 2022. And still no news about any redress scheme bar hints that it faces a government introducing budget cuts.
Prof Alexis Jay, chair of public inquiry into child sexual abuse, says further national inquiry into grooming gangs isn’t needed & would delay action.
