2022 Postdoc Giovanni Bellomo developed a novel assay to quantify phosphorylated a-synuclein (pS129) in human CSF and plasma. While pS129 a-synuclein is detectible in these biofluids, it does not serve as a reliable marker of a-syn aggregation. Important to know!
