Colored droplets in corn syrup seemingly blended together can be returned to their original state by reversing the direction of mixing, a form of laminar flow called "Stokes flow".

No “President” has a right to strip citizenship and deport people who challenge his policies. That’s fascism, not America.

As a(n) historical piece, #TheTerrorSeason2 was terrific - some great characters and it was great to see @georgetakei.bsky.social give such a moving, delightful performance. As a horror story, and in terms of character arcs, it was pretty rough around the edges.

When it comes to horror, Danny and Michael Philippou are a team to watch. While their first outing, #TalkToMe is ultimately the better, more coherent film, #BringHerBack has it beat in terms of sheer intensity and visceral horror, especially as manifest in my new favorite person ever, Oliver.

#Mickey17 would've been really impressive if it'd been written by a 15 year old.

Our stupid culture:
Someone says something stupid.
Someone says it was stupid.
The mob chants: Stupid, stupid, stupid.
The word loses meaning.

Despite owing a big debt to Dusk Until Dawn, #sinners is great. The sets, cinematography, characters are rich, the music and choreography stunning and genuinely frightening. It gets maudlin at the end, needlessly repeating a mournful review of the characters post-credits, but a triumph nonetheless.
