Mesh-spoked facelift A-Class looks good to me which means I’m getting more beige by the hour #weirdcarBS

Pretty cool car storage solution with this X1 on a lift, wonder how much of a pain it would be if the electricity's down 😅

I do see a lot of Cayenne! The Geely EX5 I saw in the parking lot as a demo car looked a lot more like it but the 7X looks a looot more upmarket actually... very very interesting, the both of them.

This was pretty much exactly how I experienced the interior and it had so much convincing soft-touch leather around the dash and where you sat in. Plastics were abundant on buttons but they felt remarkably nice to the touch in a way the Germans wouldn't dare now. China, you have my attention.

So first impressions: I rather like its mini-Aston DBX style looks, I think it really works for the sort of car it is.
Inside, there were teenagers in it staggered at how nice the interior wise and I have to say, I was as well!

So between Chrismas shopping, they set up a Zeekr stand at my local mall and it attracted a TON of attention, I managed to get a seat in--this is the first Chinese EV I've ever interacted with! #PSquickie #weirdcarBS (hell yeah, we're BACK baby)

Fun update: E36 now is between AZ-1 and Cappucino but that is assuming the Autozam wasn't way overboosted--this is surprisingly less insult to injury for the 316i because it really is "woah it sounds good/I'm going HOW SLOW??"

Twice thus far! My best internet friend who's a mechanic bought a NA8 Miata because of how much I thought it'd be a good idea for a sports car and my aunt who desperately wanted an Audi to upgrade to from her Mk5 Golf, got an A1 that was sat on the lot on the spot.
Both I can say I "influenced" !

Other thoughts: have a new mystery C pillar rattle and I also need a matching quarter glass for my rear right door to that one and I then noticed most of the windows had different suppliers.

Anyway, dailying the E36 is still a joy.
Squeaks don’t matter when you’re having fun 💔💅

Lighting immaculate here!

BMW had a similar one on the E39!

I think the Panda Hybrid Cross cropped up in my brain immediately because you floored it everywhere, the 6 speed was lovely and the ride is even better than the normal Panda.
Plus: the smile. The happiness. The Joy. Yes.
And nobody but y'all would care for it or understand it 😂

Nobody would get it but I never smiled more in a car than that yellow Fiat Panda Cross I drove. 6 speed, hybrid, cushy ride, looks and details and materials that all made me smile.
Probably my ideal daily/citycar. I adored it.

Only reason why the E39 M5 didn't make the cut: I like the S62 even more than the S65 but I feel like I already own a peak era BMW and the E90 is just much more different than my E36.
Like losing the championship on politics, this is an uncrowned winner, too. Z8 is worth a shout as well.

I have a few (many) norm-core picks I'm sure to go around here but this is where my head is at with V8s, period.
Don't think there is any other engine configuration you can get so many differing noises out of while maintaning their unique character and not feeling short-changed. Hope to own one.

Also: the only Italian V8 on the list. So here's two:
F355, 3.5 liter, 5 valves per cylinder, only ITB'd V8 Ferrari made.
F430, 4.3 liter, direct injected, Enzo cams.
I think either one I wouldn't lose because both 355 and 430 are my favorites, ever. I daydream about a 355 often.

A hideous oversight! No Mustang? Am I nuts?
My absolute favorite shape is the S197 facelift that brought with it, the Coyote engine. The best one is the Boss 302 for live-rear axle, old-school muscle nothing gets close.
A regular Coyote-powered GT in Pobst's hands can outrun a M3 around a racetrack.

I blame ThrottleHouse and Clarkson demolishing it as a non-driver's car but to me I just think it looks funny--like a 4 Series that got twisted up but a lot of LFA from other angles.
RC-F gets most cred for me as a GT3 car which makes it RAD but I'm not compelled!
November 11, 2025 at 11:59 PM
I adore the SLK55--very good shout, I think the only detractor is how plasticky the interior is in the R171 chassis but I think it looks absolutely menacing in black, my favorite color.
175k on M113 seems to be nothing on em, Merc V8 is my top choice after anything American.
November 11, 2025 at 11:53 PM
The only one that consistently has me looking at classifieds is any Merc V8 from the 90s-00s.
CLK500, SL55 AMG, W210 E55, R129 SL500 are my favorite applications. R63 AMG is almost worth a shout in this V8 celebration because why not but my god it's silly.

One that comes to mind but would steer clear of because none of the cars appeal to me much too: the Jaguar 5.0 supercharged V8 found in something like the F-Type R.
It is loud. Supercharged gets me boiling hot.
Yet.. I'm not sure I would. Maybe I would look at a X308 XJR but even still... HMMm...

Is it a surprise my dream car is a V8? Probably to me.
4.3 V8 Vantage. It's not the fastest. It's not the biggest V8 on the list. It's just the most car here though.
Trans-axle, 50-50, perfect steering/shifter? Money very object? This is as close to perfect as I can dream of.

Dyknow what a Trackhawk appeals but they seemingly made no HEMI/Hellcat powered car I would ever want to own even if they have the horniest, dirtiest, shoutiest units out there.
I would love to drive a Cherokee V8 or a Trackhawk for about 30 minutes, they both seem so silly but NEAT.

The LC500 shouts at me as the most obvious future classic but ISFs consume about as much enthusiast headspace for me. There's something about the way they hit the rolling limiter that sticks to my mind. It's a pity ISFs are like 30k and rare in Europe, it's supposed to be a long lasting unit!
