Alongside the discussion on what the [social] media environment does to the electorate, worth also considering that the downside of a gerontocracy in 2024 is being ruled by a bunch of boomers who are addicted to their smartphones.
They don't do a lot of interviews. But when they do talk, you consistently get signals that Republican Supreme Court justices are constantly marinating in right-wing media. Gorsuch spontaneously brings up the Peanut the squirrel story. www.politico.com/newsletters/...

Grammar pedantry is for dullards, but the real problem here is a nation that can't distinguish typographically between grave/acute accents and apostrophes (the article illistration being a particularly egregious example)
