Field of Cloth and Gold is such a banger.

For me a game needs emotional highs and lows. A game that just feels good/positive the whole time is usually pretty boring to me.

Yeah thankfully I backed it on Kickstarter. The art and endorsement from Leder folks was enough for me to know it would be my jam.

It's so my jam it isn't even funny. Thematically and mechanically I can't get this game out of my head. Thanks for making this!

I regret nothing.

Oh I already know it’s my kind of game

I have this one but haven’t played it yet! It’s on the pile of “next up” card games!

I’m very good friends with the designer and he kicked my ASS at it tonight. We played with every expansion module so it was sooooo much stuff. Great game for the season with Fall Flavors.

I’ll make a list at the end of the year for sure
November 4, 2025 at 2:48 AM
I have that one on order!

Thanks Connie! You know how weird it can be having your first design get so much attention. I'm just glad people are trying it and being articulate about why it wasn't for them instead of being preemptively toxic like they were for Wyrmspan (BTW I was excited to show off Dragon Academy at Essen!)

I imagine that can be a super useful design constraint!

Congrats! This is HUGE!!!

Thanks so much Chris! I think as the trick-taking market becomes more crowded, it's making way for the weirdo designs to find appreciation.
