The number of times #PNEFC have set up a showcase match, brought in a full house, massive expectations, and just not turned up, blown it, baulked, failed. Can't take much more. Not read PH's account of the match as I'm sure he'll have found positives where I saw capitulation and lack of passion.

The Carabao Cup is a strange beast. The big teams treat it as a distraction and pay the price to low clubs year after year. PH commented like we are somewhere between the 2. Useful income if you can wing it but otherwise a distraction from the Champ. And our performance bore out that ennui 😔 #pnefc

Poor last night #pnefc v Wrexham. PH could barely hide his disdain for the Carabao Cup. New boys looked good 1st half but excessive subs ruined our cohesion in 2nd. Looked apathetic, disorganised. Disappointing after our league successes
