looks like TFP's editorial choices have already polluted CBS News's coverage..nothing about No Kings above the fold but we do have a story about a freeway closure in rural San Diego County..

a real “home” in Charleston Meadows—a 75 year old decaying plywood box with no insulation that nonetheless is worth $2.6 million (paying $1800/year in property taxes)

the all-ages helmet rule is crazy because *by the county’s own data* e-bikes look significantly safer than acoustic bikes, which lack the helmet mandate

the construction cost crisis is REAL

San Francisco really is a basket case

it is Bad when you need to make $350,000 to afford the median house price and when people making above-median, six-figure salaries qualify for subsidized housing

another victim of Trump v. United States. the president, acting via DOJ or Treasury, has exclusive authority to enforce federal tax law. absolutely immune!

I hope Roberts is happy about reading the constitution to ban common-sense good government like not politically weaponizing tax collection

whoa—

- Congressional Ds raised WAY more money than Rs: $2.6 billion vs $1.7 billion. that's 53% more!
- small donors (those giving $200 or less) gave 29% of D cash vs 25% of R cash

didn't realize how dependent Rs are on Prez Musk

to contextualize yesterday's news—

a) go-arounds are very common, especially at DCA. 1 in 300 flights during FY22–3 aborted landing!
b) runway incursions are also somewhat common. there's on average one per day across the top 30 U.S. airports

when a Scalia clerk, FedSoc member, and *Trump’s own appointee to the interim U.S. Attorney role* quits, you know it’s bad

the Trump Administration is corruptly buying the mayor of America’s largest city and making no effort to hide it

it’s WELL past time for impeachment

"police car chases make us safer" 🙄

prop E's supporters should explain why it's OK to seriously injure 6 innocent bystanders so SFPD can nab a burglary suspect a little bit faster

we’re careering towards electoral authoritarian regime / an elected executive despot and the GOP delegation in Congress refuses to do anything about it

the constitution is showing its inability to handle 21st century political threats

the constitution does not mention political parties anywhere. some founders quixotically opposed political "factions"

yet the GOP and the modern party system has destroyed any limit on executive power

even the 19th century meaning of "allegiance" can't bear that weight. U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649 (1889):
