On a recent (pre-tarrif) trip to Seattle I toured a new waterfront cycle track which was built on the site of an elevated highway (Viaduct) and after its removal establised active transportation space complete with Indigenous and functional art and green design - the ideal complete street!

The Cannon Street bike lane was the first two-way separated bike lane in Ontairo. The Community and #HamOnt staff worked together to use the right of way in an equitable way, balancing the needs of all road users. This fall marks its successful 10-year anniversary.
