I’ve gone through phases of writing/not writing in books. At best, I’m inconsistent. Some books are too old//special for me to write in. But general thought: books are tools/resources, so should be used in whatever way best facilitates learning.

Both of these concerns ring true to me. I try my hardest to use open models, but worry about who will maintain them? And I feel like I’m already getting left behind in the dust. I don’t know how to keep up.

Just the other night I was reading a book to my kids and it mentioned how most of our body doesn't grow back with a little "*except for these, they grow back" and it showed drawings of fingernails and hair 🤣
