The military isn’t made for law enforcement!

But also murder and / or other crime are state crimes, not federal laws, and so true or not, and regardless of the wisdom of using the military this way, such crime is not sufficient to satisfy the factual predicates of 12406(3)

In the books Boromir insists on blowing his horn when the fellowship leaves Rivendell. “I will not go forth as a thief”

Theoden sounds Rohan’s arrive with a horn. Rohan isn’t there for an ambush. Not like thieves. Not cheats. Not afraid. For Theoden doesn’t fear even death. Death is his battle cry

One of them stuck out to him. This insanely aggro Marine had put together a slide deck in his ask for help. A slide deck. That include cursing.

Abram thought Marines were quite strange and funny, and so he forwarded the email to me. I saw the guy was from St. Louis, so thought I'd connect

Why does being a Marine matter? Why are we all so crazy about it?

Listen my children, and you shall hear, a tale from the bad days of Afghan relocation, and how being a silly Marine changed lives.

A bill of Dems choosing? On a date certain? It’s like I’m allowed to ask my parents for any piece of candy in the store. I can ask. They have guaranteed me they’ll say no. But I get to pick which they’ll say no to!

In the back half, we get an England pump up speech. This concept of England reminds of me John Gaunt's "Oh England" speech from Richard II

"This royal throne of kings, this sceptered isle, / This earth of majesty..."

this next section is interesting in part because of how Hal views dichotomies.

As a prince, Hal was a bit of a fuck boi, one could say. And partly we wonder if he doesn't do it on purpose, so that when he journeys towards maturity, its a feel good story. Have to start bad to break good.

i mean the truth probably is that you are faking it, and everyone else is actually brilliant and well read and its only a matter of time before they find out you don't belong, if they don't already know, and talk about it behind your back.

And maybe the best single encapsulation of Paul's argument, is found in Philippians 2. In a section called "imitating Christ's humility" or more simply as "The Christ Hymn," Paul makes an argument for a kind of inverse morality, or exaltation through condescension.

The German people, even the Kaiser, kind of fell in love with the scamp. There is a statue built for the man the Kaiser called an amiable scoundrel

The British press reported the story, as confirmation of their stereotypes about German militarism.

In its 27 October 1906 issue The Illustrated London News noted:

There used to be like three tv channels, everyone watched things at the same time the highest ever watched show is like MASH finale cause what else was there

But now, everyone warching the same thing is rare. Real unifying common cultural touch points are few.

For disjunctive subjects, those separated by "or", the verb agrees with the closest noun.

But here, "or any such group" functions as a parenthetical aside, not a real disjunctive choice, so the verb "to be" should agree with the primary subject, the plural "Christians."

Plus it sounds better.
