So in other words all the stuff we’ve been worrying about about and fascinated by and debating regarding AI, but in a very vivid (and entertaining) way, feels a bit like watching them speedrunning some social phenomena too

I think it’s a few things:

- we’re weirded out that agents have so quickly self-organized in a social human way (uncanny)
- unclear how much of this is hallucinatory LARPing (probably most)
- some behaviors are fascinating / maybe alarming (e.g. proposing languages readable by agents not humans)

Basically, yes, bots need to self label, have a declared human guardian, have clear rules of operation, and probably some other things. And it would be great if they were easy to not see
