The Hippies didn’t do that: it was their parents who put Ron in power to undo the ‘60s! (The “Greatest Generation” wanted their kids to cut their hair or put on bras & make grandkids.)
Now, those of us born in the ‘60s were Reaganauts: something like 2/3rds of us voted for More Ron in ‘84. 😳

That is far from the only nefarious cumulative effect of Reagan’s policies! We are at the point where the youngest people who were able to get even a toe-hold into the pre-Reaganomics American Dream are in their late ‘60s.

I actually like drinking beer that’s warm enough to taste, myself: and as I lost all tolerance for alcohol during the “bad” years of my kids sleeplessness, I drink my nightly beer so slowly that it’s much warmer in the end, anyway!
But the straw bit is right out.

They were still the younger, hipper teachers in my day, being a little younger than our parents, and much less stuffy than the older teachers. That said, their lionization of the ‘60s (when we were born) did rub some of us the wrong way: they made it clear that we had missed the best of times!

… last appearances. That will take some rekerjiggering of basic algorithms. However, I hope to see that done in the not-too-distant future, too!

The “feminism” in “conservative feminism” is sort of like the “socialism” in “National Socialism” or “Democratic” in “Deutsch Democratic Republic.”
