Janet Cardiff’s Forty‑Part Motet (2001) is a 40‑track audio installation in the Rideau Chapel at the National Gallery of Canada. This enchanting sound sculpture has 40 speakers each with a single voice playing a reworking of Spem in Alium, a piece by 16th-century English composer Thomas Tallis.
