Digital librarian, design geek, art afficionado and knowledge worker. I hold a Masters degree in library and information science and am desperately trying to find time to read all the books. Art, architecture, popular culture and music are what sustain me.
Janet Cardiff’s Forty‑Part Motet (2001) is a 40‑track audio installation in the Rideau Chapel at the National Gallery of Canada. This enchanting sound sculpture has 40 speakers each with a single voice playing a reworking of Spem in Alium, a piece by 16th-century English composer Thomas Tallis.
