Authoritarians love "Gen AI" because it
- Sounds confident even when factually wrong
- Broadly conforms to & reproduces their biases, off the shelf
- Lets them create bespoke realities (text, audio, moving & still image) which agree w/ their biases
- Degrades trust in knowledge/evidence/expertise…

Just to weigh in on the 1 gorilla vs. 100 men debate, my position is that the entire premise of this question is totally flawed because gorillas are peace loving and friendly. I am firmly on the side of the gorilla here.
