Are we having fun yet?
Today @MLB observes the 5th annual Lou Gehrig Day, on the 84th anniversary of his death from ALS. This day shouldn’t pass without acknowledging the contributions of my former colleague, John Carson, to our corner of the baseball world. 1/

✅ re: Kelenic
✅ re: Snitker
✅ re: Acuna
Jarred Kelenic should have run hard. Brian Snitker should have benched him.

And Ronald Acuña Jr. should have addressed the double standard internally rather than taking it to X.

The problem is that Acuña essentially stated a fact.

My favorite Greg Gumbel memory: Summer of 1993 and we were working an MLB telecast for CBS. The night before the game, Greg learned that I’d never seen Mystery Science Theater 3000, a cable show he was obsessed with. He legit seemed to take pity on me that I’d never had the pleasure. 1/

I want to watch TV coverage of the live fall of the Syrian regime.

CNN is airing a Giuliani documentary, Fox News has a comedian joking about Canada, MSNBC a documentary about migrants

So I turned on BBC,which is breathlessly switching between Syria, South Korea demonstrations, and Ghana election

I heard Dave Sims as the guest of Bob Kendrick on his Black Diamonds show on MLB Network Radio this morning. If this is even half as good, I can’t wait for tomorrow’s drop. Sims will be such a great addition to the Yankees media team.
