Anglican Bishop of Christchurch, New Zealand. Gospel first. Cricket, Rugby, Politics (NZ, UK, US, Oz, etc), Philosophy, global church interests: all second equal. Views my own but said with episcopal care.
This is definitely going to be a heist film plot, right?
In the space of just seven minutes in the casual daylight of Sunday morning, four suspects stole nine pieces of France’s crown jewels from the Louvre.

That would be when the Lions toured NZ … and didn’t win the series?!
"This isn't a theoretical idea. In rugby union, where I work, we've already seen what happens when a seasoned political operator is embedded within a high-pressure sporting environment" | Tim Percival

“America is closer to a religious revolution, and the difference between revolution and revival is immensely important for the health of our country — and of the Christian church in America,” our columnist David French writes.

Open enrollment for ACA plans began yesterday in Idaho.

One couple got notice that their monthly premium next year would jump from $51 to $2,232 as subsidies expire.

25,000 Idahoans are expected to be priced out of coverage.

This is what's at stake in Trump's shutdown.

The best backlash would be zero use of AI by us ordinary internet denizens.
A nationwide backlash to AI data centers is brewing.

And for good reason: while AI enriches Big Tech CEOs and props up the stock market, data centers are sucking up communities’ water and power.

When the AI bubble bursts, the rest of us will be stuck holding the bag. Be warned.

Not quite credible, IMHO, that Trump is immaterial to ceasefire ...

Is Leo faithful to Jesus? That is the only question, not whether he is (too/not) conservative or (too/not) liberal. As far as I can see, there is an affirmative answer to the only question that matters.

A canny politician and, as always, to the point
“92-year-old Lord Heseltine is out of touch and deeply offensive to millions of voters.”

A Reform UK spokesperson responds to Lord Heseltine who described Reform and other parties across Europe today as among the 'right wing equivalents of the fascists in the 1930s'.

With +Sarah Mullally being chosen, we can confirm there was no clear frontrunner. +Sarah was mentioned but the 2 "more mentioned" women bishops were +Rachel and +Guli. Male bishops were also proposed in media reports. Ultimately there was no frontrunner. Full marks for confidentiality in t'process.
Am very interested in who will be the next Archbishop of Canterbury. No one seems to know (aside from those who do know because they are the appointers). No clear front runner has emerged (which could, of course, be a sign that that person will not be the ABC).
