Hi all! I'm a new Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater in the department of Geography, Geology, and Environmental Science. I recently earned my PhD in Earth and Planetary Sciences from Northwestern University. /1
Just finished the last lecture of my first year at UW-W! Feeling excited for a short break before digging into some research over the summer.

The @ncse.bsky.social has a new climate podcast, Safeguarding Sound Science! The first two episodes are interviews with @michaelemann.bsky.social and @naomioreskes.bsky.social on climate denial. Check it out -- NCSE is also a fantastic organization. Their mission is more important than ever.

As the end of my first semester teaching wraps up, I'm wondering if anyone on here has advice for increasing course evaluation response rate? I'm at around a 50% response rate across my three courses after giving some time in class to complete them. #edusky #teachlearnsky
