yeah. i got you. thats why i looked up and used alonso as example since he played every day. Your lindor thing was just because he seemed not good from the right side for much of year.

about 30% of alonso's at bats last year which i think 25-30 is typical

same page. i'm just guarding against people saying Alonso was the answer to balance & they blew it, because he was horrible against LHP. (i miss him regardless.. but a bad argument). Austin Hayes hit 100 points higher than Alonso vs LHP if someone is looking for "balance" only. (obv much less pop).

looks like it. its the late start / waiting i have issue with.. not the decisions so far

so it would be nice to have someone that just rakes against lefties (yes usually a righty, but however they get there)

It's less about being right handed and more about hitting left handed pitching (for example, Alonso was MUCH worse vs. lefties in 2025, Marte was about even, Alvarez was about even, Tucker was about even, ).

Mr Elias, does this increase/decrease the likelihood we will see full transcript of the closed door testimony? Was that practice & will this testimony be less damning with more measured questioning or is Smith experienced enough to get everything on the public record?
