Yes, we’re definitely heading towards a hung parliament or coalition
November 18, 2025 at 8:04 PM
I don’t think they’ll even get 25-30% of seats, they’ll get a lot of second places, while Green, Lib Dem, SNP and Plaid will get more seats than their vote share suggests, as I think the non-Labour left will vote fairly tactically. The hate for RefUK far outweighs everything else

Those brain eating spores must be getting very very hungry…

It’s a hope, and I’m not really that confident, but the Caerphilly Senedd by-election shows it can happen
November 16, 2025 at 10:24 PM
It’ll be a hung parliament, it’s unlikely they’ll be able to form even a minority government without help. Tactical voting under FPTP will see them get a lot of second places despite a high national vote share, while LibDems/Greens/SNP/Plaid will benefit and win more seats.

The consequences will hit harder and sooner than that. Many will find themselves out of work as many immigrants start businesses and employ people. Many immigrants are highly skilled professionals (like Drs) who will go where they’re wanted. All will take their families and their money with them.

It was taken in a rare moment of being stuck at the lights in the right spot and having a willing passenger!

It looks very silly…

Yes, at £1k a few shifts a week at the local supermarket kept me afloat and in beer money. It was a gap year (unintentional and entirely due to teenage fecklessness) that buggered me too 😕

I was the first year that had to pay them. Fortunately halls in Salford were cheap and I qualified for a small means tested grant in my first year. If I went a year earlier I wouldn’t have paid a penny….

As someone who regularly delivers large kitchen appliances* doing that is as easy as it looks. I’d quite happily do the same (The hard part is getting it through the front door)

*and yes I laugh at people who complain that they need a SUV to deliver a fridge…

It’s the same as tuition fees. Everyone pins the problem on the coalition government, but it was Labour (Blair) that introduced them and normalised them on the first place, which allowed them to be raised to the ridiculous levels they are now (and having blamed the LDs have Labour reduced them?)

Oh and I think the weekend warrior MAMIL type are bad for cycling in general, creating a very bad stereotype for those of us that pootle to work. And worse, many actively work against having safe cycling because they’re ok cycling on the road in traffic
November 16, 2025 at 11:02 AM
Standard bikes maybe, but a lot of decent folding e-bikes, e-cargo bikes and adapted bikes and trikes easily go over that.

They stepped back from getting rid of closing the loophole on pickup trucks earlier in this government. And I bet that loophole costs more than a few weekend warrior cyclists

She’s trying to be more awful than Gary Glitter in a Borat mankini
November 15, 2025 at 2:59 PM
The problem is while some MAMILs were, lots of people weren’t, and they’re not closing the same loophole for leased cars, or the VAT loophole on double cab pick up trucks either, and don’t tell me they ain’t enjoyed at weekends!
November 14, 2025 at 9:59 AM
So many things they say/do I wonder “who paid them to say/do that?”. Too many decisions that are nonsensical and contrary to people’s interest to be explained any other way
November 14, 2025 at 9:18 AM
She made the fatal error of not only wanting to actually do stuff, but do stuff IN THE NORTH!!! The horrror!!!!

Now we’re back the the old Labour Party that cancelled pretty much every tram/metro project when they were last in power…

Sadly you have an imitator, though like the American man on Twitter called John Lewis, he probably spends a lot of time redirecting people looking for you.
November 12, 2025 at 1:30 PM
Because the nightmare politics we’ve had for the last few decades have really added up….
November 12, 2025 at 11:03 AM
Clearly in need of clothes, maybe they thought you were the other Paul Smith and thought by following you they could get some sartorial guidance?
November 11, 2025 at 9:26 PM
When they tried it in Altrincham

1/ the parking spaces were hogged all day by workers cars, leaving less spaces available for shoppers.

2/ even at £2ph the on street parking is normally at capacity, making it free won’t create more spaces even if the above didn’t happen.
