It’s not just a rebrand. The WHS High St stores have been sold to PE. I wonder how many onerous high street leases WHS has now conveniently exited, and how many redundancies they’ve potentially avoided paying? I give it until Xmas ‘26 when TGJones finds itself unable to pay its quarterly rent bill

The new Co-Op ‘to go’ while nicely done isn’t very surprising, very much their standard FTG offering, a Costa machine and small bake-off operation. They’ve picked a tough market with lots of good indies, a Greggs, a good M+S and even a large Tesco all within walking distance

Next time you go to the supermarket, the fenced in trolley bay next to the entrance is also called a “corral”, so I guess shopping trolleys are the livestock ..

If I had the need/money for a new van it would definitely be electric, in a previous life my transit diesel was going to replaced by a Vw ID buzz cargo and I’d have saved £££ as well as GHG. Anyway I don’t have the money, and there are still even better ways, like walking, cycling, or sharing an EV:

If I had the need/money for a new van it would definitely be electric, in a previous life my transit diesel was going to replaced by a Vw ID buzz cargo and I’d have saved £££ as well as GHG. No it’s always been quite wide (the jutting out stainless steel below the windows is no longer there) and much wider than the pavement before and after.

Erm, they do. Cars and vans still hit and seriously injure or kill pedestrians on the pavement at a far greater rate than any other form of transport. Here’s someone driving deliberately AT ME on the pavement..
