Xavi is an AM also covering LW. At the same time Brennan is now being used as LW. Tel and Odobert also LW.

Kudus is now the only left-footed option ready to play the inverted RW position (Until Kulu is back. And Gil moving on).

A left-footed AM/LW like Akliouche or Elliott would be my next target!

Imagine if the Tottenham delegation sent to the UCL draw was Lange, Venkatesham and Levy…

“We have plenty of time to work on transfers some other day…”

🫣😅

Not too bad with the Away games. Bodø/Glimt away is the longest travel, but we have done it before.

PSG, Frankfurt and Monaco away as well.

Would have liked more “big games” with all the star players. But this is a nice draw for progessing to the knockout phase 💪
UCL home games against Dortmund and Villareal from Pot 1 & 2 are not the most spectacular / high profile games unfortunately.

Slavia Prague and FC Copenhagen home games as well from pot 3 & 4.

12 points at home?

Commentators said this magnificient victory against Man City was the first away victory in the Premier League since 22nd of February against Ipswich 👀 Nice way to reset that stat…

Great work effort all around (loved Kudus’ intensity tracking back when Doku came on), and another clean sheet 💪

That’s a pretty strong Spurs bench 💪

Great options to change things up in the second half.

Odobert or Tel for Johnson.

Bentancur and/or Palhinha in central midfield.

Solanke if Richy gets tired.

Danso to rest Van de Ven a bit.

…The full-back positions are the most vulnerable right now.

Savinho talks confuses me a bit…

But apparently he played mostly on the left wing for Girona, in a very succesful season.

Perhaps s Son replacement?

We also get rotation for Kudus on the right.

We still need a specialized number 10.

Brennan will struggle even more for minutes if Savinho joins.
🚨 Tottenham in talks with Man City to sign Savinho. #MCFC not actively wanting to sell but ~€50m deal being discussed. 21yo open to #THFC move + Pep Guardiola tends not to block when players want out 🚨

Would like to have seen Kudus in the number 10 role, at least for a part of the Bayern friendly…

Enjoyed this @ohsospurs.bsky.social video on Palhinha. Focus on strengths (…since he’s here).

From 5:45

Very tenacious and finishes the action. Meaning he either wins the ball, breaks up play, or commits a foul. Thereby preventing teams from getting flow and rhytm.

Fewer defensive blips.

Thanks for all the beautiful memories Heung-Min Son 🫶

What a legend. 10 years of pure footballing genius.

And such a great person, always putting smiles on people’s faces 🤍

Herbalgy trophy lifted… Romero getting out the Fernet Branca now? 😉

Simply over the moon with Kudus in the Spurs team.

Defenders just look scared when up against his dribbling and strength.

Also doing great holding up the ball and moving the ball on.

Doing a great job in his defensive duties.

I find myself smiling when he’s on the ball 😊

Why is Vicario kicking long with his left foot when not under pressure? He’s done it 2-3 times now…

Trying to improve his left foot?
Perhaps a sore right foot/ankle?
…Or just for fun :)

Ben Haines in the SpursPlay halftime studio spotting Thomas Frank’s tactics board while instructing players for the second half, and with only one holding midfielder in front of the defence.

We’ll see when the second half starts if that’s the case or not… 😊
July 19, 2025 at 2:52 PM
Kevin Danso doing really well, left side of central defense.

Sweeping high up the field, and comfortable on the ball.

Of course it’s only been 20 minutes in a pre-season friendly against a League 1 side… 😊
July 19, 2025 at 2:28 PM
Kinsky punching holes in the air.

Porro clearing the ball.

Reading are pressing well.

They are perhaps further in preparations since League 1 starts two weeks earlier.

Makes for a good pre-season game.

Richarlison the most notable absentee?

(Besides Morgan Gibbs-White)…

Tel, Odobert and Gray not ready from the U21 euros.
July 19, 2025 at 1:09 PM
Can’t wait for preseason. This one feels extra exciting! (As I say every year 😂).

Interesting to see whether any of the U-21’s eligible for the UEFA CL B-list stays with the 1st team.

F.ex. Devine and Donley. Anybody know who is furthest ahead in development and suited to Frank’s style of play?

I am a bit curious about the nature of the virus Mikey Moore has had? Any information out there?

It has been perhaps two-three weeks already?

And sounds like they still have to be very careful with him…

Spurs seem to have more intensity, higher fitness level, at the end of the first half.

Hopefully a good sign for the second half as well… 💪
