If she stands apart, as many might choose, she still loses something precious, the people who shaped her life, who live in her memories, but for the sake of remaining true to herself. 7/8 #resist

When confronted, they dismissed her fears nothing bad would happen to her specifically. She was different, they assured her. Not like the "majority" they despised. She could still belong, if only she'd raise her hand too. If only she'd join in condemning people just like herself. 3/8 #resist
