Road taxation on EVs is inevitable. But why not just tax every vehicle on a per mile basis, with a weight and power tiering, that reflects the relative road wear caused. So a 2.5 ton 500 horsepower Tesla pays more than a 1 ton 100 horsepower Polo, etc. This should be separate from fuel choice.

How hard is it to level up from a Cuntservative to a Reformzis? Is there a test? A colour chart? An arm angle? Asking for a friend..

If there’s £3bn of goods coming in untaxed from China due to de minimums (?) rules couldn’t labour tax them - VAT plus duty say 40pc is £1.2Bn of easy revenue instead of potentially putting rents up by 8pc?
