Indeed, I think they've put up with living in the feed passage as they could see outside and decided they were better off roughing it in the emergency accommodation rather than venturing back to grass

Looked earlier, 10 yr average here is about 650mm, in the last 12 months we're at about 950mm so it's not surprising it feels relentless, it's be nice to get a few dry days now though.

That's a nice sight, I wish it was like that here. Instead we've spent 2 days cleaning a flooded cattle shed out, the relief this evening to finally have it bedded up again is immense! Contingency and prevention planning next on the list 🤦‍♂️

The number / year is relatively low, but none of the 70,000 know which of them will be affected in the next year, so it's an absolute lottery in that sense & harder to plan for. The BBC Verify article also completely ignores the changes to BPR which have been widely used in the past & drags more in

I've been looking for him too, no idea how he's managed to hide from us!

That's an awesome fact, right up there with a pig having a corkscrew willy, taking up to 10 minutes to complete it's ejaculation & in some instances producing about half a litre at a time 😳

Ahh, genuinely thought you'd gone for Bonnie Tyler at #6 there to start with 🤔

Good! The days when they're all flying and keep getting in what's left of my hair drive me mad but I love seeing this in autumn, it's quite therapeutic & always something I stop to look at.
