My immigrant parents saved for years so we could visit family overseas, and if we were going to travel that far and so rarely, we were going to do it for several weeks. Staying with family removed the costs of hotel, eating out all the time, renting a car, laundry, getting a local SIM, etc. 🤷🏻♀️

One doesn't need to be poor to advocate for the working class, but I'd be suspect of any person claiming to advocate for any demographic if that person doesn't know or associate with anyone in that demographic.

My experience traveling NZ for the past few months has been really wonderful. The nature is obviously beautiful any special, and I've found the people to be independent and kind. I really hope I get a chance to move here and contribute to my new community, wherever that ends up being.
