Abolitionist in theory, incrementalist in practice.

Here because I needed a place to keep track of the social unraveling and for silly nonsense (which I need because I paid attention to social unraveling). He/him

In that case, this whole report thing is a pointless distraction. If you believe your political opponents aren't people but problems, and you see the conflict as an all out war, you're no longer in a place where politics matter.

I don't think it's outlandish to suggest "tack to the right" is less appealing now than it was six or nine months ago, and if that shift isn't reflected in the report people In Here are gonna lose their goddamn shit.

And sure, I would broadly agree that it's good for electeds to have introspection and try to learn from their mistakes. But as others have pointed out, it's very possible, depending on when the body of the doc was written, that the report ended in the wrong place.

This isn't a plumber fixing a leak, it's a plumber trying to fix... whatever the Wario version of a plumber is, someone who goes around making stuff leak on purpose.

Ok I deleted the previous response because I think you're actually trying to engage in good faith. Nevertheless: if your metaphor again places Republicans in the role of the agency-less problem to solve, that is part of what I'm making fun of!

You finally enacted revenge on the geese and ran out of time to get to the grocery store?

Look, you can't go around All Gore's Internet and say crazy shit like "Republicans have agency." Sure, the GOP controls both chambers of Congress, the Executive, and SCOTUS, but on the other hand it's not like they're grown-ass adults with volition.

What matters is that it's all the Dems' fault.

I like how having an exclamation mark at the end of the bottom bubble makes it seem like they're saying "shit! bird!" instead of "shitbird!"

"I found there were more things in life... like scolding people online."

That does not seem like the winning message they seem to think it is

The most charitable read, to me, is that they're annoyed at any suggestion that you can't change the world by posting.

The less charitable read is that a Black man said something they didn't like, which is enough for some people to see red.
