My burnout was rough. Intense. It changed who i was professionally. I ended up moving country just to break the cycle. Best decision i ever had.
Burnout is serious shit, and way more of us than like to believe it are inches away from disaster.
It wreaks havoc on your physical and mental health for months, even years. Your body is going to stop you one way or another — mine turned my immune system against me and almost killed me.

Burnout is clinically understood as a combo of 6 factors—work overload, lack of control, insufficient rewards, breakdown in community, absence of fairness, & value conflicts—and only a fraction of it is under your control. Burnout is a systemic problem, so be kind to yourself and hard on the system.
