If we had effective representation vs a partisan system that demands 💯 compliance of members, we wouldn't need to use tools like recall petitions. I applause Scott Sinclair for being an effective representative. We need to see more of that.
Hopefully either way this boxes Dani in

Having done a lot of research on this, the rules are very strict about where the funds can come from, who can sign, who can canvass, and the justification for the recall.
Check out yesterday's CBC article about how Nicolaides latest email to supporters may have crossed those lines.

I actually took the time to watch the committee recording. Kudos to Davis Shepard for asking the right questions. This is purely a case of the UCP changes the rules because they don't like the answer. The UCP will use any tool available to retain power #UCPauthoritarianism

Danielle said she’d fix the health care system in 90 days. The UCP have money for a police force, Alberta Next, etc., etc. but not for teachers or healthcare. Right! What will she privatize next? Children’s cancer treatment? This is unacceptable. 😡

This affects both APEGA and CPA's and 20 other professional organizations and 'public interest' is not defined in the bill, meaning the Minister and the UCP set whatever rules they want. Safety, accountability and transparency are all at risk now 😱

I was horrified by the video they forced on people wanting to fill out the Next survey. I couldn't watch it and therefore want allowed to do the survey. It's all so wrong.

I will but I don't feel confident about the slate of candidates. There is a lot at stake and I'm not sure who to trust. There is a lot of meaningless verbiage but no solid action plans.

At the U of C closure liability conference this week, we discussed the history of the Yellowknife Giant Mines arsenic cleanup and the parallels between these two situations are chilling. AER needs to become proactive and aggressively address these underfunded corporate liabilities

And with the Mature Asset Strategy, Danielle wants Albertans to pick up the $320 Billion environmental clean up tab while these O&G companies skip off into the sunset with billions in subsidies, bonuses and stock gains.
