The Winter Palace is 2.5 million square feet, 45 times the size of the White House at 55,000 square feet. The Trump ballroom is completely out of scale for the property and fails to fit into the architectural context of the White House grounds. The White House is a residence not a palace.

Well, unfortunately they have no authority in the matter. White House, many other Federal buildings not protected by the National Preservation conservation Act of 1966. The National Capitol Planning Commission has no teeth to stop or revise changes to White House. Trump always finds loopholes.

I think Mr. Kirk would have been 35 years old, and eligible to run in the 2028 Presidential election. Perhaps not the plan, certainly 2032. Ultimate Kirk goal was to be President. Perhaps shooting was strategic, and not a tactical message. Either way, he will never be on any future ballots.
