It's been a little bit since my last post, but this week was rough. I think I went through 2 additional design revisions before finally landing on something I was enthusiastic about. Changed the rules for the puzzle a bit too...

Nearing completion for the underside of the dial interface. So ready to get back into developing puzzle logic. This piece had SOOO many precision cuts...

Here's one of the randomized murals being opened. I wanted the doors to have that smooth, heavy, bounce effect after they come to a rest.

Was able to fumble my way through getting a thumbnail-on-save feature built into my save game routine. Such a nice touch of refinement!

Oh, and placeholder title screen lol.

I've got the first puzzle solution being properly randomized, and I tweaked some of the materials. I'm *REALLY* digging the emissive effect on these murals.

Sundays are for screenshots too, right?

Success! There was a trick to it though. When you use the Make Array node, you have to initialize it with the output of the Hit Component pin, otherwise the types won't match for the Find node. Also had to switch to a Select node for the Int refs. Thanks for the help!

That's what I was afraid of, lol. My desire for non-repetition is eating away at me. Here's what I'm currently attempting to get working to to slake my desire to remove the repetition.

I think the trick becomes how to associate anything with a static mesh component. Essentially, the pawn has concentric pieces that will each rotate to one of six locations on a wheel. Each piece needs to be associated with its own int var.

Ran out of brain juice working on the blueprint logic for the puzzle that will unlock the stairs that I showed in my last update... Knock the rest out after I grab a few Zs.

Some more progress. Circular ring capstones, columns, stairs, and a fence. Always been a fan of art deco. I think I'll try and incorporate more into the designs as I get to the finer details and implementation.

My thoughts on this new "programming language" #Mirror that just dropped. Heckin' heck... Writing unit tests first and having AI generate code that passes the check? CURSED.

Pivoting a bit from the tumbler idea (those will come soon though) and am working on more fundamental set of symbol-based on/off switches with emissive glow effects.

Spent some time fancying up my ship in Starfield. Here's a sweet looking angle of it while planet-side. Say hello to my pal, Vasco!
