If someone is estranged from their parents, please please don’t give them the ‘but they’re your mum/ dad’
They were their mum / dad when they did the worst imaginable things to their own kids.
It’s not up to the children to make it ok. It’s up to them to live well.

The last few days have been hard. One of the older barn cats was declining fast. I spent the weekend and last night taking care of him, and today he was euthanized at the vet. I'm physically and emotionally tired. Rest in peace sweet kitty.
