They/Them, Queer, Millennial Axolotl Parent

Can a socially-befuddled, introverted aspiring-novelist really make an earnest effort at socializing on the Internet? Probably not, but here I am, so we'll see...

We need more than ever to make this country a safe place for all queer folx. That starts by ensuring everyone, including kids, has access to information. There aren't suddenly more trans kids; with well-informed and accepting adults around, there are more VISIBLE trans kids.
ErinReed [Feb 20] -- Despite ferocious govt assault the US is queerer than ever.

Gallup finds nearly 1-in-ten adults are LGBTQ+ (9.3%), nearly double 2020.

Trans is up 50% to 1.3% in just 2 yrs from 0.9% in 2023.

And among Gen Z, nearly 1-in-4 (23%) are LGBTQ+!

I may be biased (former scared/closeted gay teen here), but the more we, the voting public, bully #queer youth & remove protections from them, the more we endanger them (higher depression/anxiety/suicidality) & reveal our own barbarity.

This is unacceptable.

Work in progress. It's nice to be done with my book illustrations and have time to just do some art for art's sake.

It’s actually ok not to speak on matters you don’t have a lot of knowledge about.

It’s actually… a sign of humility and wisdom to do that.

And as a bonus, you don’t inadvertently show your ass in public!

Stand awhile under an ancient wild tree, one that seeded itself independently of man centuries ago, as countless generations before. One that's part of a woodland ecosystem.

I can think of no better way to feel the very core essence of our living planet.
