Many years ago, when I was just a kid, I hitched across Australia.
I was in the middle of 'nowhere', not a city or town or house light in sight, and it was midnight, and no moon, but when I looked up at the sky, I saw the Milky Way.
I've never forgotten it. The pic below just doesn't do it justice.
