Look, this is bad for democracy and all, no doubt. But I also can’t help but notice that NYT’s many years of pandering to Trump and shaping coverage in his favor failed to prevent them getting kicked out of the Pentagon press room.

I do not recall a 24 hour or one week news cycle with more disturbing news about the state of the presidency and the US government in it than those of today and the past seven days.
