Yes! Great ideas, very mixed execution. For both The Martian and Hail Mary, I found Weir's prose so unbearable that I had to watch the film for the former, and listen to the audiobook to give some personality to the latter. I'm really looking forward to the Hail Mary film adaptation.

I think it's worth revisiting, not that it hasn't aged without issue in regard to characters and some plot points. There still aren't many characters like Buffy herself, along with her character arc over the seasons. I'd be interesting to see a fresh perspective on it!
