So pretty!!

Mine is supposed to arrive tomorrow, I can’t wait to see it! Unfortunately I don’t have any socks to mend, so I’ll just have to find something else to fix first! I’m very excited!

It varies. Scrapbook supplies are in pretty good order, paper organized by color, subject, manufacturer. Yarn is a mess, but patterns are in good shape. I just don’t have enough space for yarn I think. If I could keep it in one place it would help.

Thank you! I’m so excited to give them to her. These are the others. I think she’ll be surprised. She never asks for anything and is always so appreciative.

Oh, if these are poor pictures, I cannot even imagine what the “good” ones are going to look like! This is gorgeous!!!!

Thank you so much. I hope she likes them. She’s so sweet and grateful for everything I love doing things for her.

Almost always window

That’s true. You can get away with a lot, because people don’t notice what you do. We’re our own worst critics. You can “fix” it however you want. I love the visible mending trend, mistakes and repairs can look intentional. They’re design choices!

People hold their needles and yarn different ways, do what’s comfortable to start, you can always change after you understand the basics. I’d start with a basic acrylic because you’ll probably make mistakes and need to rip it out. Metal needles are cheap but can be slippery.
Just a few thoughts!

There’s lots of videos online that can be helpful. I used to teach knitting at a craft store. We usually started with scarves, because you can just knit and knit. I like personal instructions so I’d check your local yarn shop (LYS) if you do too. Knit & purl are your basic stitches.

Amazing! Can’t wait to see how it ends up!

You’ll find lots of knitters here! I’ve been knitting since I was a kid, probably about 60 years. One of my most recent projects was this emotional support chicken. She was named Nugget.
