But even with that circle of support, it’s still hard. We work so hard this term of government and it’s all gonna be stopped and reset. We’re going to have to re-traumatise ourselves by telling our stories again. It is so hard. please if you’re in it as well put yourself first

I need something to do because I can’t sit with myself in my pain and my hurt. I don’t know whether this is a universal experience for advocates. It is really tough. I have an amazing circle of support. I will not be surprised if three or four of them reach out to me tonight.

I fight so hard but it’s so difficult to deal with the shit that you have to deal with. People see the strong sides of us but we put our vulnerability out there on display. I am broken. I can’t step back from advocacy because I don’t have anything else to do.
